Senior Claims Litigation Attorney

Elevate is partnering with a leading infrastructure and services organization, to identify a Senior Claims Litigation Attorney. The successful candidate will join a growing litigation team supporting an increasing volume of cases while partnering closely with business stakeholders and legal leadership.

Type/Duration: Direct Hire/Permanent

Location: Onsite in Los Angeles County, California

Start Date: ASAP

Salary Range: $160,000-- $200,000, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as lead counsel in tort litigation matters involving personal injury, property damage, and business loss claims.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial, appeals, and alternative dispute resolution.
• Advise business clients regarding litigation strategy, risk management, and operational impacts.
• Direct and manage outside counsel when retained for overflow, specialty matters, or high-exposure cases.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects and legal initiatives.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a nationally recognized law school.
• Active California Bar membership in good standing (or ability to become admitted in California may be considered.)
• 9+ years of litigation experience from a law firm, in-house legal department, and/or government agency.
• Strong experience handling civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Experience with tort litigation, including personal injury, property damage, or business loss claims.
• Ability to independently manage cases and oversee outside counsel.

• First-chair trial experience.
• Utility, energy, or regulated industry experience.
• Experience interacting with federal, state, or local regulatory agencies.
• Experience handling wildfire litigation, major casualty matters, or utility claims litigation. (Per client discussion notes.)
• Top academic credentials.
