Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift

Farmington Hills, MI | On-site

I’m working with an established manufacturing organization in the Metro Detroit area that is looking to add an experienced Production Supervisor to its operations team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, developing employees and helping a manufacturing operation consistently hit its safety, quality and production goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support production employees during the assigned shift
  • Coordinate daily staffing and production priorities
  • Monitor production performance and address issues impacting output or quality
  • Coach, train and develop employees while maintaining clear performance expectations
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout the shift
  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering and other teams to resolve production issues
  • Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and overall plant performance
  • Communicate shift priorities, results and concerns with plant leadership
  • Maintain required production and employee documentation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong people leadership skills and the ability to hold teams accountable
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively across Operations, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or technical training is a plus

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site 2nd shift position. Some overtime may be required based on production needs.
