Senior/Master Mechanical Engineer

Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Senior/Master Mechanical Engineer to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in the in Belo Horizonte - MG office.

About The Role

• Lead and develop conceptual and basic engineering projects, working collaboratively to ensure and maintain the fundamental flow of information with peer areas.
• Seek technical solutions for engineering development and the application of new tools and technologies.
• Conduct strategic studies that require agility in evaluating alternatives, including mines, plants, railways, and ports.
• Act as a liaison between the engineering team, consultants, and international specialists to validate and/or critique technical solutions, aiming to mitigate risks, enhance safety, and reduce CapEx and project implementation timelines.
• Review projects and technical documentation to ensure quality and compliance with deadlines. Support and collaborate with project implementation teams, capturing lessons learned to optimize future projects.
  
  

About You

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• 10 years of experience in similar roles;
• Strong leadership, supervision, and team management skills;
• Experience in designing and implementing large-scale industrial projects;
• Knowledge of processes and technologies applied in iron, gold, and copper mining projects;
• Experience in construction, assembly, and service contracting;
• Proficiency in software and equipment sizing for bulk material handling and transportation, as well as heavy boiler calculation;
• Strong communication skills and an articulate professional demeanor;
• Advanced English proficiency;
• Spanish is desirable;
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
• Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD/Volo View.
