What You’ll Do
Job Summary
The Material's supervisor will be responsible for supervising and managing the materials team, ensuring the efficient execution of operations on the shop floor. This includes internal material movement, direct material receipt, storage, and material shipment to customers. This professional will fulfill their team management and development activities, including performance evaluations and individual development plans, ensuring a high-performance team. Additionally, this professional will be responsible for logistics optimization, packaging management, inventory and storage, ensuring a productive material flow based on Lean Manufacturing concepts. As part of their duties, the Materials Supervisor will also be responsible for daily communications management with OEM customers, ensuring customer satisfaction regarding deliveries and demand fulfillment. To ensure successful customer relationships and shop floor execution, this position must establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including supervisors and operations managers, sales and order management teams, quality team, and EHS team. Furthermore, this position also has responsibility for Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklifts) in the factory and should seek the best solutions in terms of safety and productivity for this equipment.
This professional must demonstrate root cause analysis and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement in processes and metrics, creating and delivering reports and presentations to all levels of the organization, including the senior leadership team.

Main Activities Include
- Team Management: Supervise and organize the work routine of the materials team through the Standard Work of each workstation, effective and assertive communication with the team, performance evaluation and feedback with a focus on individual development, establish a succession plan and ensure the achievement of area goals, including zero accident.
- Material Handling on the Shop Floor: Coordinating the internal movement of materials, ensuring availability at the right places and times, and adhering to safety standards.
- Customer Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns promptly, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Order Management: Overseeing the order processing system, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of orders, and coordinating with various departments to meet customer demands.
- Inventory Management and Storage: Lead physical inventory, including cycle counting, annual physical inventory and quarantines. Implement control systems for Finished Goods inventory and organizing the warehouse to maximize space.
- Logistics: Planning and coordinating the transportation of materials, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
- Packaging: Support plan and execute packaging purchase aligned with SiOP/customers demand and establish a communication process with customers related to returnable packaging. Supervising the packaging process to ensure adequate protection of materials, maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Inventory Management and Storage: Lead physical inventory, including cycle counting, annual physical inventory and quarantines. Implement control systems for Finished Goods inventory and organizing the warehouse to maximize space.
Education level required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Adm, Logistics, Economics, or related field.
- Significant experience in Logistics.
- 5 years in a manufacturing background environment with an emphasis in material inventory management, logistics, and materials flow.
- Thorough understanding of Materials Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, and inventory control.
- Previous experience with Customer's communication.
- Domain Office and ERP Package.
- Fluent English mandatory.
- Experience in MRP, MPS, Min / Max, S&OP and other supply chain / materials management tools and processes.
- CPIM and Six Sigma Greenbelt are highly desirable.
- Effective communication, leadership skill & management roles.
- Communicates effectively with direct reports and all management team.
- Strong mindset in developing people and high-performance teams.
- Must have analytical and cognitive skills.
- Supply Chain and Intercompany interaction in a highly complex and demanding environment.
