Description

The Learning Coordinator is responsible for leading the day-to-day learning processes and supporting the staff of an assigned shift within a single Amazon Sorting Center facility. This role requires a strong understanding of sortation processes, safety protocols, and workforce management to ensure the efficient, reliable, and safe execution of sorting activities. The Learning Coordinator collaborates with the Sorting Center Site Manager and cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, resolve operational challenges, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.

Amazon Transportation Services is seeking a Learning Coordinator to support Middle Mile expansion by implementing scalable solutions that ensure process quality and drive standards adoption.

As a Learning Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading onboarding and proficiency programs, promoting process standardization, and driving continuous improvement. You will also perform quality audits and track key performance metrics to enhance customer experience and operational performance within the delivery network.

Key job responsibilities

  • Onboard Amazon Associates so that they learn how to operate with Amazon systems and tools;
  • Create training material for team and new programs for ATS;
  • Lead training sessions and work actively on ATS SC launch;
  • Mentor Amazon Leadership in lean principles and drive adoption of standard work processes into the daily work;
  • Support network level excellence in six sigma and lean practices through designing and implementing processes, metrics, and the proper usage of systems;
  • Lever from Best at Amazon (BAA) practices to support process improvements, best practice sharing, and standardization of the work routine.
  • Flexible to work weekends and/or overnight, as needed
  • Availabile to travel up to 25% of the time

Basic Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree
  • Management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
  • Experience leading, teaching and developing people to deliver key organizational goals
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
  • Cross-functional project management experience
  • Process improvement experience via Kaizen and use of LEAN tools
  • Experience using and communicating performance metrics
  • Advanced English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field as well as a MBA is a plus
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and content development.
  • Ability to influence others without having positional authority
  • Certifications in Six Sigma and Lean are a plus
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
  • Ability to Deep Dive and develop innovative ideas for process challenges
