Assistant Manager — Opening Team

Carrollton, Texas | Full-time, 40 hrs/week | $16/hour + tips | Bonus packages available

De Pho Sho is a new French-Vietnamese fusion restaurant opening soon in Carrollton, Texas. We pair

elevated pho bowls with house-made croissants, alongside specialty coffee, pastries, and a full bar. We are

building our opening team now and are looking for a hands-on leader to help us launch.

As our Assistant Manager, you will work side by side with our Store Manager to run smooth, welcoming

shifts, support our servers, and help build a team culture we are proud of. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-

week leadership role, and you can also serve and earn tips.

Pay & Perks

• $16/hour for 40 hours a week ($640/week base pay).

• Plus tips: an estimated $100–$700/week. As a new restaurant, tips will grow as we build our guest

base, and our goal is to reach the top of that range. When you serve, you keep 100% of your tips.

• Total earning potential: about $740–$1,340/week, or roughly $38,000–$70,000 a year.

• Bonus packages available for all staff.

• Certification support. We help you get your TABC Seller-Server Certification and Texas Food Handler

Card, and support a Food Manager certification as you grow.

• Training on our menu, French-Vietnamese cuisine, coffee, wine, and beer.

• A clear path to grow into Store Manager as we expand.

• A real voice in shaping a new restaurant from day one.

What You’ll Do

Lead the team and the shift

• Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and run shifts when the manager is off

• Open and close the restaurant, following opening and closing checklists

• Lead pre-shift meetings so servers know the day’s specials and goals

• Make sure servers are set up and ready to go before every shift: sections assigned, stations stocked,

uniforms and appearance on point

• Jump in wherever needed: serving, running food, bussing, making coffee, or helping the kitchen

during rushes

• Handle guest questions and concerns with warmth and turn unhappy guests into regulars

Scheduling and team development

• Help build weekly schedules, cover call-outs, and manage shift swaps and time-off requests
• Help interview, onboard, and train new team members

• Coach servers on menu knowledge, service standards, and upselling

• Give regular feedback and recognize great work

Operations

• Handle cash: count drawers, reconcile end-of-day sales, and prepare deposits

• Help with inventory counts, ordering, and receiving deliveries for food, coffee, pastries, and bar

• Keep an eye on labor and waste to help the business hit its goals

• Make sure the restaurant meets health code, food safety, and cleanliness standards

• Enforce TABC rules and responsible alcohol service, including checking IDs

• Report equipment issues and keep the dining room, bar, and coffee station in great shape

• Share ideas for promotions, events, and social media to help us grow

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of restaurant, café, or bar experience; shift lead or supervisor experience is a plus

• A positive, calm leader who stays steady during busy shifts

• Strong communication with servers, kitchen, bar, and guests

• Organized and detail-oriented, comfortable with scheduling, cash handling, and checklists

• Leads by example and is happy to jump in and serve

• Pride in elevated, upscale hospitality

• Reliable, on time, and trustworthy

Requirements

• Must be 21 or older

• TABC Seller-Server Certification (we can help you get it)

• Texas Food Handler Card (we can help you get it); Texas Food Manager Certification is a plus

• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs

• Comfortable using a POS system and scheduling apps
