Pediatrician

Position: Pediatrician

Location: Modesto, CA

Responsibilities: Perform routine well child physicals, initial assessments, follow-up exams focused on acute and chronic diseases and physical exams for sports, camp, school, etc. Make referrals to and coordinate visits with other physicians and health care providers to obtain needed services for patients and families (including durable medical equipment, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other health care services). Perform minor surgical procedures including laceration repair, neonatal circumcision, ingrown toenail excisions and I&D of superficial abscesses. Order diagnostic and laboratory tests, medications, immunizations, and other appropriate therapeutic interventions as determined by the symptoms or illness of the patients. Complete forms for school and regulatory agencies regarding medication administration, medical clearance for activities, and authorization for care outside of system. Work to meet HEDIS & Quality measure goals. Use Electronic Health Record to accurately record all pertinent information regarding patient history, physical exam, diagnostic assessments, and treatment plan.

Educ./experience: Requires Medical Degree (M.D.) degree, or foreign equivalent and completion of an accredited residency program in Pediatrics. Also requires a valid and current medical license to practice medicine in the State of California
