Litigation Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a Litigation Associate to join a growing law practice. This position will involve legal research, drafting motions, preparing for depositions, representing clients in court proceedings, and exploring alternative dispute resolution methods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions.
• Assist with mediation, arbitration, and other alternative dispute resolution matters.
• Manage approximately 20–30 commercial and insurance-related cases with values generally ranging from $20,000 to $100,000.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Indiana bar admission or recent J.D. graduate eligible to practice in Indiana.
• Litigation experience, though candidates ranging from recently licensed attorneys to experienced attorneys will be considered.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent legal drafting abilities and attention to detail.
• Previous law firm experience preferred.
• Proficiency with LexisNexis or similar legal research platforms.
