Controller

Controller – Manchester, NH

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting is working with an established manufacturing company in Manchester, NH seeking a Controller. This is a hands-on leadership position with responsibility for the accounting function and direct interaction with company leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong manufacturing accounting background and enjoy being involved in both the day-to-day accounting and broader financial management of the business. This is a growing organization looking for someone who can evaluate issues, recommend solutions and help improve processes as the company continues to evolve.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly and year-end close process
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory and manufacturing-related accounting
• Manage cash flow and other treasury activities
• Partner with operations to analyze costs, margins and business performance
• Maintain appropriate accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Coordinate external audit and tax requirements
• Oversee and develop the accounting team
• Support accounting system and process improvements
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to company leadership

Requirements

• Strong Controller or senior-level accounting experience
• Manufacturing accounting experience required
• Solid cost accounting and inventory experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Strong ERP and Excel skills
• Prior experience managing or developing accounting staff
• Ability to remain hands-on while also working effectively with senior leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Compensation: $120K–$130K plus bonus and excellent benefits. Position is based onsite in Manchester, NH.
