LHH Professional Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Tax Director for our Houston area based client. The ideal candidate will have a sound background in strategic tax planning, M&A transactions, international tax issues, tax filings and reporting. This is the perfect opportunity for a self-starter who is seeking a role where they will be a key member of management, in rapidly growing company, with above market compensation packages and a hybrid working schedule.

Primary responsibilities of the Tax Director role include:

• Strategic tax planning to assist in defining the global entity tax structure
• Tax optimization of capital movements across the company and joint venture agreements
• Tax advisory and evaluation of tax implications associated with various transactions
• Partner with Legal, Treasury and other internal teams on global strategies
• Manage external advisers and timelines
• Manage tax reporting and outlook/market guidance
• Oversee and coordinate tax regulatory authority reviews and audits

Primary qualifications include

• Bachelor’s and/or Masters in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm or public organization, with exposure to international tax
• CPA or other designations, preferred
