Harper Associates has been retained to identify an accomplished Food & Beverage Manager for a luxury hotel in Detroit. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished hospitality professional who thrives in an upscale, service-driven environment.

The Food & Beverage Manager will oversee daily operations at one of the hotel’s dining outlets, working closely with culinary and hotel leadership to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support front-of-house food and beverage operations
• Recruit, train, schedule, and develop service team members
• Maintain luxury service standards and ensure guest satisfaction
• Oversee labor, inventory, purchasing, and operating costs
• Promote strong communication among service, culinary, banquet, and hotel teams
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-service requirements
• Assist with special events, private dining, and high-volume hotel functions
• Identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and profitability

Ideal Candidate

• Previous food and beverage management experience in a luxury hotel, fine-dining restaurant, private club, or similarly upscale environment
• Strong knowledge of restaurant and beverage operations
• Polished leadership style with a hands-on approach
• Excellent communication, organization, and guest-recovery skills
• Experience managing labor, inventory, financial performance, and service standards
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

This position offers a salary of up to $85,000, plus a performance-based bonus and an excellent benefits package.
