Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year

A bit about us: A food manufacturer is seeking an FSQA Supervisor to lead daily food safety and quality activities. This hands-on role partners with plant teams to maintain product standards, support audit readiness, and serve as the primary contact for regulators and customer quality matters.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Maintain food safety and quality programs covering HACCP, GMPs, sanitation, allergens, environmental monitoring, and SQF/GFSI requirements.

Coordinate regulatory, certification, and customer audits; oversee documentation and corrective actions.

Investigate quality deviations and customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.

Manage product holds and releases, traceability, recall readiness, labeling, and supplier quality.

Partner with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues and train employees.

Qualifications

3+ years of food safety/quality assurance experience in food manufacturing.

3+ years working within a GFSI-recognized program, preferably SQF.

Experience supporting audits, investigating deviations, and completing root-cause analysis.

Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, FDA/FSMA requirements, applicable USDA requirements, and food safety controls.

Strong communication, documentation, and decision-making skills.

Preferred: Relevant bachelor’s degree; HACCP, PCQI, or SQF Practitioner training; USDA-inspected facility experience; frozen, cooked, or ready-to-eat food experience; QA team supervision; bilingual English/Spanish.

Schedule & Environment: Plant-based role with exposure to refrigerated/freezer areas and sanitation operations. Occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, or extended hours required.
