Alliance Financial & Income Tax is seeking an experienced tax professional to join our established, growing tax and financial services practice in Blue Springs, Missouri.

We have served individuals, families, and businesses for more than 20 years and are looking for a knowledgeable tax professional who can work independently, provide excellent client service, and become an important part of our team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state individual income tax returns
• Prepare business returns, including S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, and LLCs
• Prepare returns involving Schedule C businesses, rental properties, investments, retirement income, and other complex individual tax matters
• Review prior-year returns and identify potential tax issues and planning opportunities
• Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and resolve tax questions
• Research federal and state tax issues as necessary
• Assist with tax notices and IRS/state correspondence
• Work with our team to ensure accurate and timely completion of returns
• Participate in year-round tax planning for individuals and business owners

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

• Several years of professional tax preparation experience
• Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation
• Experience preparing Forms 1040, 1120-S, 1120, and 1065
• Ability to independently prepare more complex tax returns
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and client-service skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during tax season
• Professional judgment and a commitment to confidentiality

EA, CPA, or other advanced tax credentials are strongly preferred but not required for an experienced candidate.

Experience with Drake Tax Software is highly desirable.
