Alaska Hand Rehabilitation

Date: 1 day ago
City: Anchorage, AK
Contract type: Full time

Experienced Hand Therapist—Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist

CHT Preferred

You’re Already Specialized. Now Get Exceptional.

Most therapists say they want growth, balance, and meaningful work. Very few choose environments that genuinely require it. At Alaska Hand Rehabilitation, we’ve built something different: a clinic designed for specialists, a team aligned around high standards, and a culture where growth is expected.

And when the workday ends—you’re in Alaska.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an occupational therapist or physical therapist with hand and upper-extremity therapy experience. Certification as a Hand Therapist (CHT) is preferred but not required. Applicants must be licensed—or eligible for licensure—in Alaska.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation of $100,000–$124,800, depending on experience
  • Relocation assistance and a retention bonus
  • Employee ownership through our ESOP
  • 401(k), health insurance, and comprehensive benefits
  • Generous paid time off
  • $1,500 annual continuing education benefit
  • Dedicated time for documentation and clinical research
  • Regular educational in-services with surgeons
  • Ongoing coaching, mentorship, and leadership development
  • Opportunities to contribute through mentoring, leadership, and program development

A Clinic Built for Hand Therapy

This isn’t a general rehabilitation space trying to accommodate specialty care. Our new clinic was intentionally designed for upper-extremity rehabilitation, with:

  • One-on-one patient care focused on outcomes, not volume
  • Dedicated space for custom orthosis fabrication, movement, and hands-on treatment
  • A diverse caseload involving the shoulder, arm, wrist, and hand
  • Complex cases requiring high-level clinical reasoning
  • Strong relationships and collaboration with referring surgeons
  • Time for documentation and patient-specific clinical research
  • Continuing education, mentorship, and professional development

You’ll have the environment and support to practice the way you were trained to practice—thoughtfully, precisely, and without being rushed.

How We Work

  • We communicate clearly—even when it’s uncomfortable.
  • We take ownership, solve problems, and follow through.
  • We step in and support one another consistently.
  • We keep learning, regardless of experience level.
  • We treat patients and teammates well—especially when things are hard.

These aren’t aspirational statements. They describe how we work every day.

Why Anchorage?

This isn’t just a job—it’s a different way to live.

Mountains, trails, and water are minutes away, with year-round access to hiking, skiing, fishing, biking, climbing, and countless other outdoor adventures. Alaska offers the space to reset, disconnect from work, and build an active life outside the clinic.

This May Be the Right Fit If You:

  • Take pride in delivering thoughtful, high-quality care
  • Want to work alongside people who hold one another accountable
  • Prefer clear, direct communication
  • Want to continue developing as a hand therapist
  • Value professional growth and an active life outside of work

Our purpose is simple: We work together to get people back to living well.

If you’re ready to practice at a higher level, contribute to a team of specialists, and live somewhere that both challenges and restores you, we’d love to hear from you.
