Established (40+ Years) Leading Firm Seeking Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney for Workers' Compensation in Lancaster, PA

An established firm based in Lancaster, PA with over 40 years in practice is seeking a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney with 3-5+ years of experience to join their team onsite. This growing office defends employers, insurers, and third party administrators in workers' compensation defense matters, from initial pleadings through hearings and appeals.

Salary range: $90,000-$120,000+, contingent on experience

Qualifications

3-5+ years of direct PA workers' compensation defense experience with the ability to handle all aspects of the litigation process

Recent hands-on experience defending workers' compensation claims in PA

JD degree from an ABA-approved law school

Active license in good standing in PA

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software is preferred

Excellent time management, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills in a high-volume, fast paced team environment

Willingness to travel for day trips to hearings and depositions, with overnight travel not regularly expected

Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of workers' compensation defense litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, hearings, and appeals

Provide strategic legal analysis and case evaluations to employers, insurers, and third party administrators

Prepare and present cases before Workers' Compensation Judges

Draft persuasive motions, briefs, and settlement evaluations

Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, recommendations, and risk assessments

Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient and effective case management
