About The Role

Looking for sophisticated bankruptcy work without the big-firm bureaucracy? A respected North Carolina law firm is hiring a commercial bankruptcy associate to work directly with partners on restructuring and insolvency matters, in a collaborative and team-focused setting.

What You'll Do

  • MUST HAVE Represent debtors, creditors, committees, and trustees in Chapter 7 and 11 cases
  • Advise on restructurings, workouts, and distressed situations
  • Handle adversary proceedings and manage discovery
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs

What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years of commercial bankruptcy experience
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, with strong academics
  • North Carolina bar admission, or willingness to obtain it
  • Sharp research, writing, and communication skills
  • A bankruptcy or federal court clerkship is a plus
