Trial Attorney

Established (30+ Years) Firm Seeking Trial Attorney for Insurance Defense Litigation in Orange County, CA

An established firm based in Orange County, CA with over 30 years in practice is seeking a Trial Attorney with 15+ years of experience to join their team in a hybrid capacity. This role will take cases all the way to verdict, handling high-exposure insurance defense, personal injury, transportation, and complex liability matters. The practice is busy, diverse, and collaborative, with the independence to run your own cases backed by a supportive team of partners, associates, and staff.

Salary range: $225,000-$275,000+, contingent on experience

Qualifications

Has 10+ years of experience practicing law in California

Has tried at least five jury trials to verdict as first-chair counsel

Has insurance defense and personal injury jury trial experience

Holds a JD and an active California bar license in good standing

Is skilled in taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and handling pre-trial proceedings

Brings strong advocacy, writing, and case strategy skills

Is confident in the courtroom and passionate about trying cases

Works with a collaborative mindset as part of a team that wins together

Responsibilities

Lead cases from inception to verdict as first-chair trial counsel

Develop trial strategy and oversee all aspects of litigation

Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and handle pre-trial proceedings

Work directly with clients on case evaluation and trial preparation

Mentor associates and share trial expertise
