Located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, Davies, McFarland & Carroll, LLC, continues a legal tradition that began over 150 years ago and we are looking for the perfect candidate to join our team. Our firm is located in the Gateway Center complex - just steps away from the growing and vibrant cultural district and beautiful Point State Park!

• Fast-Track File Ownership: We don’t hide our associates away doing endless document review. You will manage insurance defense files, interact directly with claims handlers, and handle files from initial intake through resolution.
• Direct Partner Access: Work directly with senior partners who have an open-door policy and are invested in teaching you the practical "art" of defense practice and carrier reporting.
• Hybrid Flexibility: We focus on your output, not your physical seat. We offer the opportunity to work from home 1-2 days per week once you are up to speed on our active files.

What We Need From You

• Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania
• Prior experience or a strong interest in medical malpractice insurance defense
• Strong legal research and clear, persuasive writing skills for drafting motions and evaluating exposure

We offer a competitive salary ( commensurate with experience) and benefit package including:

• Health Insurance - we pay 75% of the premium plus total deductible
