About Sports+Plus
Sara Fornaciari has been a trailblazer as the first female sports attorney in the world. She founded Sports+Plus in 1990 to pursue creative entrepreneurial opportunities.
Sports+Plus specializes in the development and execution of sports marketing, communications, sponsorship, partnership, and fundraising programs to achieve strategic objectives for tennis organizations, nonprofits, and foundations. The company drives brand strategies by designing logos, developing websites, and managing social media accounts.
In addition to having owned and operated 10 WTA professional tennis tournaments, Sports+Plus promotes fundraising events, overseeing budgeting, operations, staffing, and accounting.
Responsibilities include
· Drafting marketing materials such as annual reports, capital campaign collateral, and donor-facing brochures
· Developing public relations materials, website content, and sponsorship solicitation assets for tennis nonprofit organizations
· Assisting with marketing and communications support for the WTA Foundation, the global philanthropic arm of the Women’s Tennis Association
· Handling public relations requests and developing, maintaining, and updating content for the Bryan Brothers website (www.bryanbros.com)
· Providing administrative and communications support for the United States International Tennis Club, a 500-member nonprofit organization
· Providing administrative support for Sports+Plus, including bookkeeping and employee recruitment and management
· Supporting marketing, sponsorship, and operations for fundraising galas
Requirements
· Strong written and visual communication skills, with the ability to draft media releases, sponsorship proposals, annual reports, and a range of marketing and donor-facing materials
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva
· Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar bookkeeping/accounting software
· Competency in web development software (Wordpress/Wix)
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Proactive, self-motivated work style with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
· Comfortable interacting directly with clients, partners, and stakeholders in a professional setting
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an outgoing and collaborative approach
· Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, small-team environment
Compensation & Work Environment
· Annual salary of $45,000 with potential for bonus
· Full-time, fully in-person role based in Bethesda, MD, offering daily collaboration and hands-on support
