Conejo Free Clinic is a nonprofit, volunteer-powered clinic dedicated to providing free medical, dental, and legal services to uninsured and underserved individuals in our community.
We are seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to organize and support our outreach and partnership efforts across Ventura County. This role focuses on managing our community engagement calendar, coordinating volunteers for outreach activities, and building strong relationships with local organizations to expand access to care.
Working closely with clinic leadership, this position plays a key role in strengthening community connections and identifying opportunities for collaboration. Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and manage Conejo Free Clinic’s community engagement calendar, including tabling events and pop-up medical and dental screening events
• Organize and support volunteers for outreach efforts, ensuring events are well-staffed and aligned with program goals
• Serve as a primary liaison between Conejo Free Clinic and community partners, including nonprofits, schools and school districts, faith-based organizations, local agencies, and community groups
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations
• Identify opportunities for deeper collaboration and expanded community impact
• Identify strategic partnership opportunities to better serve underserved communities
• Ensure consistent communication and follow-up with community partners
• Track outreach activities, partnerships, and engagement outcomes
• Provide regular updates to clinic leadership
• Support the planning and coordination of outreach initiatives
• Attend occasional community events as needed, though attendance at every event is not required
• Gather feedback from partners and community members to inform program improvements
Qualifications
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse groups
• Self-starter with strong follow-through and attention to detail
• Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and Drive
• Passion for healthcare access and serving underserved populations
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Experience in community engagement, outreach coordination, or partnership development is a plus, but not required
Schedule & Compensation
• Part-time position
• 15–20 hours per week
• Flexible schedule
• Primarily hybrid work structure, combining remote work from home with time spent in the community
• Includes some in-clinic meetings and occasional event attendance as needed
• $24–$28/hour depending on experience
