Job Title: Data Quality Analyst

Duration: 3+ month contract

Location: Sunnyvale CA Hybrid

Work Environment & Expectations

• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
• Potential overtime during late October–early November due to high data volume.
• Work may be repetitive and detail-heavy, requiring resilience and focus.

About the Role

This role support quality assessment of elections-related data. This short-term role is critical to ensuring accuracy and reliability of information ahead of the upcoming elections. Candidates will work closely with internal teams, leveraging data analytics, troubleshooting, and communication skills to validate large datasets under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Data quality assessment of elections information provided by external partners.
• Troubleshooting and verifying data accuracy through online research and validation.
• Conduct phone calls (3–4 per day on average) to confirm data when online validation is insufficient.
• Use Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and internal systems for QA processes.
• Apply Plx queries and spreadsheets to analyze and validate datasets.
• Collaborate with team members to meet tight turnaround times, especially during peak workload in October–November.

Qualifications

• Background in data analytics or related field.
• Preferred: Political science or related academic background.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn quickly.
• Experience with Google tools and ability to adapt to internal systems.
• Communication skills for outbound calls and data validation.
• Open to new graduates with strong educational backgrounds and aptitude for rapid learning.
