Survey Associate/AutoCAD Drafter

General Purpose of Position

Perform land surveying duties in the office and in the field for a small civil engineering and land surveying firm engaged in land development throughout the County of San Diego.

Specific Tasks

Field

· Assist on boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys using a Robotic, Ranger 7, and GPS equipment

Office

· Prepare deeds and legal descriptions for easement and grant deeds

· Prepare maps for boundary surveys and subdivisions

· Processing of maps through local jurisdictions

· Processing data from field surveys

· Prepare topographic maps

· Perform boundary and title research

Requirements

· Must be proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and basic Microsoft Office software.

· 2 years’ experience as a rodman/survey assistant preferred

· A current, valid California Class C driver’s license

· Must have a dependable form of transportation

· Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) preferred
