Nurse Coordinator - RN
CRF Behavioral Healthcare
Hours: This is a salaried, exempt position. Work schedule is Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Must be available for on-call phone consultation when needed.
Salary: $110,000 to $111,100 per year
Licensure: Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required and must be kept current and in good standing during employment
Certification: BLS certification required and must be kept current during employment

As a Nurse Coordinator, you will
- Coordinate and supervise the behavioral health nursing care of the program, including supervision of all nursing staff and management of infection control activities.
- Assist multidisciplinary team with nursing assessment for incoming clients.
- Ensure that clients and family members are educated and informed about their medications and illness management.
- Oversee health care needs of the clients and act as a liaison between clients and doctors.
- Ensure all medications are managed and stored appropriately as defined by local and state regulations.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of one year of experience working with a mental health population, especially with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred
- Ability to physically and mentally able to assist in emergency situations is required
- Bilingual Spanish preferred, but not required
- Demonstrated knowledge of County Health and Human Services requirements including documentation is preferred
- This program is housed in a two-story building that does not have an elevator. Ability to navigate stairs is required.
- A valid California driver’s license in good standing and eligibility to be an approved CRF driver is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position. In addition, proof of insurance is required prior to driving personal vehicles on company business.
- Ability to pass criminal/background clearance

Our Crisis Centers are Short Term Acute Residential Treatment (START) programs ( Del Sur Crisis Center, Esperanza Crisis Center, Halcyon Crisis Center, Jary Barreto Crisis Center, New Vistas Crisis Center, Turning Point Crisis Center and Vista Balboa Crisis Center) that provide intensive, community-based crisis residential services for adults throughout San Diego County. They deliver a unique alternative to psychiatric hospitalization to clients who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis of such magnitude so as not to be manageable on an outpatient basis. Their services are provided in a home-like environment that specializes in the psychosocial rehabilitation of each individual.
