We are recruiting for a classification, compensation and records assistant to join our Human Resources (HR) Branch in Salem! In this role, you will provide comprehensive technical support to track, monitor and coordinate classification and compensation processes for our agency.

A Day In The Life
- Track and monitor various aspects of classification and compensation work that require action such as upcoming work deadlines, sending reminder notifications to customers as needed.
- Review requests for accuracy and completeness, identifying discrepancies of incomplete requests and following up to resolve issues.
- Manage the classification and compensation team inbox to research, reply and/or forward requests using established procedures.
- Advise and help with related processes for submitting job classification reviews, compensation and other position/budget activities.
- Work with HR staff and our Budget Office to notify and process changes to representation, overtime eligibility, work out of class or other compensation related topics.
- Monitor data integrity of our tracking systems by verifying information, identifying concerns and following up with others as necessary to keep operations moving efficiently.
- Create, monitor and close non-budgeted positions in Workday as requested by senior consultants.
- Review submitted position descriptions and personnel actions in our electronic HR filing system, determining if documents are complete and can be accepted into the filing system according to record retention rules.
- Upload documents into the electronic HR filing system – this may include handling paper documents that arrive by mail, fax or shuttle to the office.
- Process and/or submit routine employee actions in Workday using established procedures.
- Provide technical and administrative support as needed for special projects or assignments which may include using various systems for preparing reports.
- Work with confidential information, maintaining the integrity and security of records and following all security protocols for both physical and electronic files.

Minimum Qualifications
Two years of human resources clerical-support experience directly assisting human resources professionals in the administrative functions of a human resources program;
OR
Three years progressively responsible administrative, clerical or record-keeping support experience.
Note
- College-level course work may substitute for the general experience requirement based on 45-quarter units per year.
- The State Certified Human Resources Professional (SCHRP) certification, awarded by the Oregon Chief Human Resources Office, substitutes for six months of human resource professional-level experience.
