Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) - a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval - award amount (up to $200 -000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

  • Major duties include - but are not limited to the following: Manage medical care for a panel of Veterans enrolled in Primary Care
  • Timely entry and use of the electronic medical record system for documentation - workload capture - alert management - and for review of Veterans' current and future medical care needs
  • Serve as the leader of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT)
  • Cross-cover for other medical providers as needed throughout the health care system
  • Work in collaboration with PACT members to ensure the overall safety and quality of each Veteran's care
  • Responsible for all performance metrics related to patient quality of care
  • Responsible for positive customer service in all aspects of care
  • Participate in quality improvement - quality assurance - continuous survey readiness - and committee/work groups in collaboration with others
  • Maintain licensures and certifications requisite for credentials and privileges at the OKC VAHCS
  • Meet ethical and professional standards as written in the Medical Staff Bylaws and ensure that work relations are in compliance with facility standards and expectations as written and communicated
  • Driving and travel for Primary Care patient care coverage purposes will be required for this position to clinics throughout the health care system
  • Driving and travel may be up to 75% of the time
