Contract IT Field Technician Needed (Northern New Jersey)

InfoDefense PLUS is seeking a reliable Contract IT Field Technician to assist with an upcoming Computer Asset Triage & Sanitization Project.

Project Duration: Approximately 3–5 days, with the potential for future project-based opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Computer inventory and asset documentation
  • Hardware inspection and evaluation
  • Manufacturer recovery and Windows installation
  • Secure SSD/NVMe sanitization
  • Equipment labeling and staging
  • Following documented operating procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of PC hardware and Windows installation
  • Comfortable working with BIOS/UEFI and bootable USB media
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation
  • Professional appearance and communication skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently while following established procedures

This position is ideal for a Junior to Mid-Level IT Technician, recent IT graduate, or motivated IT professional looking to gain hands-on field experience while working alongside experienced cybersecurity and managed IT professionals.
