General Manager, HVAC Service Operations

South Florida | On-Site

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a leading commercial HVAC and mechanical services organization seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and grow a large-scale service operation in South Florida.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for service operations, financial performance, customer satisfaction, team development, safety, operational excellence, and strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have deep commercial HVAC service experience, strong P&L accountability, and a proven track record leading large service organizations within a mechanical contracting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead service operations across a multi-market commercial HVAC service business
  • Provide leadership to Service Managers, Supervisors, Dispatch, Customer Service, and support teams
  • Drive operational excellence, workforce productivity, and customer satisfaction
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, financial performance, and profitability objectives
  • Monitor KPIs including labor utilization, backlog, service agreement performance, profitability, and operational efficiency
  • Develop and mentor leadership teams and field personnel
  • Partner with sales teams to drive maintenance agreement growth, repair revenue, and customer retention
  • Build strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts
  • Lead process improvement and operational standardization initiatives
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient service operations

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • 10+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
  • Experience within a mechanical contracting environment
  • Service operations leadership experience
  • Proven P&L ownership and financial accountability
  • Experience managing Service Managers, Supervisors, Dispatch, and field teams
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and KPI management experience
  • Commercial HVAC service business growth experience
  • Customer-facing leadership and account management skills
  • Demonstrated team development and leadership success
  • Ability to work on-site and support South Florida operations
