Manufacturing Supervisor – Assembly

Description: This assignment entails effectively supervising the manufacture and shipment of high mix, low volume, semi-custom HVAC products.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a technical field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or any of the Physical Sciences.

Experience: This is an advanced supervisory role that requires a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience and Lean Manufacturing experience. This role requires a fully developed professional with documented prior experience.

· Monitor activities and supervise Hourly Employees in the Assembly Area.

· Must be able to maintain and improve Material and Information Flow throughout the Assembly Area.

· Maintain and Improve 5S in the Assembly Area and attain/sustain globally recognized standards of excellence.

· Devise and Implement projects designed to improve Part Presentation and Labor Efficiency in the Assembly Area.

· Troubleshoot new or existing manufacturing problems. Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operation

· Improve the metrics of Internal PPM, Customer PPM, Labor Efficiency, and Productivity in the Assembly Area as applicable.

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership in Manufacturing Supervision preferably in an assembly type operation.
• Proven leadership in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing.
• Assembly & process control experience.
• Energetic, hands-on, results-oriented supervisory style.
• Excellent people skills, able to present information in a clear and convincing manner.
• Solution-oriented, able to quickly analyze system and drive change.
• Computer proficiency with MRP software, Excel and Access.
• Minimum of a Lean Green Belt certification.
