This is not a normal interior design job!!!

KEENA is looking for an insanely organized, wildly capable, detail-obsessed Senior Designer to become Rachel Keena's right-hand person.

Rachel is a designer, artist, salesperson, engineer-brain and big-picture thinker who moves approximately 700 miles per hour. The ideas are constant. The projects are extraordinary. The vision is BIG.

We need the person who can catch the thoughts flying through the air, organize it, anticipate what comes next and MAKE. SH*T. HAPPEN.

THE JOB

You will be working alongside Rachel on high-end, full-home residential projects—typically $5M+ homes and some of the most exciting luxury projects in our market.

You'll help manage clients, trades and vendors.

You'll drive projects forward.

You'll leave meetings knowing exactly what needs to happen next—and then actually make sure it does.

You'll lead and manage administrative support.

You'll anticipate problems before they become problems.

YOU'LL PROBABLY LOVE THIS JOB IF…

You are almost annoyingly organized.

You notice EVERYTHING.

You remember the tiny detail someone mentioned three meetings ago.

You're a problem solver. When something goes sideways, your first thought is, “Okay, here are three ways we can fix this.”

You move fast.

You take extreme ownership.

You're comfortable managing clients, trades, vendors and people.

You are honest—even when the truth is uncomfortable.

You love design and genuinely care about the details.

You like to laugh. A LOT.

You have a personality.

You're polished when you need to be… and completely capable of having fun when the workday is over.

You can survive a slightly unhinged, loud, fast-talking designer who occasionally has 47 thoughts in one sentence.

THIS PROBABLY ISN'T YOUR JOB IF…

You need someone to constantly tell you what to do.

Your favorite answer is “no.”

You see a problem and immediately explain why it can't be solved.

You don't pay attention.

You're chronically disorganized.

You avoid uncomfortable conversations.

You move slowly because “that's how we've always done it.”

YES, WE TRAVEL.

And sometimes… we travel A LOT.

New York. California. Italy. Vendor trips. Project travel. Events. Installations.

This role is based IN OFFICE in Royal Oak, Michigan, and travel is required.

Our core schedule is Monday through Friday, but luxury residential design occasionally has other plans.

There will be some weekends.

There will be some long nights.

There will be installs.

There will be events.

And there will probably be stories we laugh about for years.
