Linux Systems Administrator (m/f)

We are currently looking to recruit a highly motivated & enthusiastic person to join our team. Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Linux systems administration in a 100+ server’s environment
• Good knowledge of Internet technologies and concepts such as DNS, routing protocols, TCP and UDP and higher-level protocols such as HTTP, SMTP and FTP is important
• Enjoy working with Linux, enjoy new challenges and enjoy team work
• Ideally studies of informatics or comparable vocational education
• Deep [TL1] knowledge of network equipment, routers and switches
• Good Knowledge of Veaam backup
• Continuous Integration and Deployment tools: Hg, SVN, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience in Open Ldap and Collaboration software solutions
• Experience in virtualized systems/setups
• Knowledge in webhosting environments with usual open-source-software for instance Apache, MySQL, PHP, Java and WordPress
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Experience in the open-source-field is desirable
• German language would be considered an advantage
• Deep knowledge

THE ROLE

• Work with other system administrators on managing a suite of Debian and CentOS Servers
• Monitor system health using Nagios/Icinga [TL1] and log files
• identify, apply and test operating system patches
• Setup new servers and decommission old servers
• Setup and test backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Coordinate with others to maintain service delivery Icinga
