Part-Time Video Editor

Basecamp Creative Group

Date: 1 week ago
City: Savannah, GA
Contract type: Full time

About the Role

Basecamp Creative Group is a marketing agency serving tactical, defense, and outdoor brands. We're looking for a part-time video editor to take editing work off our creative team's plate, primarily short-form social content (reels, clips) and supporting video assets for client campaigns.

Type: 1099 Contractor, part-time (10–20 hrs/week to start, with room to grow)

Location: On-site near Pooler, GA

Software: Adobe Premiere Pro required

What You'll Do

  • Edit raw footage (photoshoots, product content, event/brand footage) into polished video assets
  • Clip and repurpose longer-form video into short-form reels and social cuts (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
  • Apply consistent branding, captions/text overlays, motion graphics basics, and sound design per client style guides
  • Turn around quick-hit content on tight timelines alongside longer campaign deliverables
  • Organize and manage raw footage libraries and project files in Adobe Premiere
  • Collaborate directly with our creative lead on shot selection, pacing, and brand tone across multiple client accounts

Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ years of video editing experience, ideally with social-first or brand content
  • Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro (Photoshop/Lightroom a plus if photo work is ever needed)
  • Comfortable working across multiple brand voices/styles at once (we serve several tactical/outdoor clients simultaneously)
  • Fast turnaround without sacrificing quality, comfortable with a deadline-driven agency pace
  • Bonus: familiarity with military, tactical, or outdoor lifestyle content

Scope & Cadence

This is a continuous workflow role, not a fixed weekly quota, you'll always have a project queue to pull from. Work generally falls into two buckets:

  • Studio shoot edits: Turn raw footage from ongoing studio shoots into one polished long-form video (product video, ad spot, campaign piece), then cut that same footage down into multiple short-form clips/reels for social
  • Content library edits: Pull from our existing footage archive to create fresh short-form social content in between shoots, so output stays steady even when there's no new footage coming in

Monthly deliverables will vary depending on shoot schedule, expect heavier volume around scheduled studio shoots (e.g., fall shoot season) and steady, library-driven output the rest of the time. The expectation is consistent, ongoing hours rather than a set number of deliverables per week.

Compensation

  • $30-$50/hr, depending on experience
  • Paid via 1099; potential path to more structured/recurring engagement if workload holds

To Apply - Send a reel or portfolio link showcasing short-form social edits and at least one longer form piece (2-5 mins) to
