AmeriCorps Communications Assistant (Paid Internship)

Looking for a creative, people‑centered role that builds real‑world experience? Join us as a half‑time Communications Assistant through the Marshfield Clinic Health System AmeriCorps Program. You’ll help promote community engagement by creating digital/print content, managing online event listings, and representing the Museum at outreach events. This position also qualifies as a paid internship.

Museum visits reduce stress, anxiety, and even chronic pain—so your work directly supports community health.

You’ll do

• Create digital + print marketing materials

• Manage Facebook + website events

• Build outreach displays

• Attend community events

You bring

• Clear communication + active listening

• Flexibility + dependability

• Age 17+ and a HS diploma

• Preferred: graphic design, digital marketing, and/or public‑facing experience

• Curiosity is always welcome

AmeriCorps Benefits

• $557.50 bi‑weekly living allowance

• $3,697.50 education award (tuition or student loans). Must complete service to receive award.

• Counts as a paid internship

Schedule: ~23 hrs/week, some evenings/weekends. Must attend AmeriCorps orientation Sept 14–18.
