Communications Consultant
Position Overview
The Communications Consultant will design and deliver highimpact internal communications that inform, align, and engage employees across the organization. This role partners with business leaders and stakeholders to translate strategy into clear, compelling messaging, lead change communications and ensure consistent voice and brand across channels. The consultant will also measure effectiveness and iterate to continuously improve employee experience and adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute communication strategies aligned with enterprise initiatives and project timelines
- Create clear, consistent multi-channel communications (email, intranet, presentations, leader messaging) to drive awareness and engagement
- Translate complex operational and change-related information into concise, employee-friendly messaging
- Design communication plans and tools that support employee and leader readiness for organizational change
- Manage and maintain intranet/SharePoint content, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment
- Lead divisional communications and ensure timely updates on initiatives impacting the employee experience
- Establish communication and change management frameworks, enabling stakeholder self-service and adoption
Leader & Stakeholder Enablement
- Develop leader communication materials (talking points, FAQs, playbooks) to support engagement and change adoption
- Advise leaders and stakeholders on communication strategy, stakeholder engagement, and change impact
- Facilitate meetings and forums to drive alignment, transparency, and collaboration across teams
Change Communications Support
- Support communication and stakeholder engagement for complex, enterprise-wide initiatives
- Integrate communication strategies into broader change management efforts
- Align messaging, milestones, and engagement strategies across cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience in internal communications, organizational communications, or related field
- Proven experience developing and executing communication and engagement plans in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex topics
- Experience creating executive- and leader-facing communication materials
- Strong stakeholder management facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across complex initiatives
- Experience planning and facilitating department-wide meetings, forums, or employee engagement events Experience managing communications across collaboration platforms and employee communication channels - Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly as plans evolve
- Experience applying change management concepts such as employee readiness, adoption, and stakeholder engagement in support of operational or organizational change
- Experience supporting large-scale organizational or operational changes
- Familiarity with enterprise and divisional communications channels, including intranet, leader cascades, collaboration platforms, and employee engagement forums
