Maven Royalty Management specializes in acquiring mineral and royalty interests in unconventional resource plays throughout the United States. MRM manages a family of funds structured to make direct investments on behalf of its investors. The company is a Registered Investment Advisor that oversees hundreds of millions in capital and assets. About the Role

We are looking to add depth to our finance department by hiring a Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate is currently a Financial Analyst in the oil and gas industry and lives in the Shreveport-Bossier City area of Louisiana. They are intelligent and work well under pressure. They are organized, dependable, and detail oriented. They are looking to join a small company and don’t mind wearing a few different hats from time to time. We will also consider training inexperienced candidates that have a finance background (from other industries or education). We will not consider applicants from across the country that do not already have family living in the Shreveport area.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage financial models for investment funds
  • Develop and maintain board and investor presentations
  • Assist with writing quarterly Management letters to investors
  • Analyze royalty payments to ensure companies are being paid correctly
  • Assist with treasury functions (cash reports, electronic payments, etc.)
  • Organize data so that reports and analysis can be refreshed quickly
  • Create monthly and quarterly summary reports for clients and investors
  • Assist with the firm’s asset divestment process
  • Refresh and review data models and reports in PowerBI
  • Keep a pulse on mineral and royalty transactions in the oil and gas space

Qualifications

  • Degree in finance and MBA is a plus
  • Less than 6 years of experience in a finance function
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint

Necessary Skills

  • Ability to excel under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to step back and see the big picture
  • Desired exposure to oil and gas or private equity
  • Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mind that doesn’t stop until a project is complete
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft products, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI
  • Oil and gas experience is a plus
