ABOUT KT ADVISORY SERVICES
ABOUT KT ADVISORY SERVICES
We are not a traditional CPA firm. Our Vision is to shape a better future for our clients and staff — and we mean it. We work exclusively with business owners and high net worth individuals to plan proactively throughout the year, helping them reach short and long-term goals. Our services span Client Accounting Advisory Services (CAAS) and Tax Advisory Services (TAS). We value fit over volume, and relationships over transactions.
THE OPPORTUNITY
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an Accounting Manager to be a core contributor on the CAAS side of our business. This role sits between our bookkeeper and our outsourced CFOs — you are the person who makes sure the numbers are right, meaningful, and ready for strategic conversations.
Day to day, you will own the month-end close process, oversee the bookkeeper, maintain and update financial forecasts and budgets, track KPIs, and deliver clear financial analysis that supports our business owners.
This role is right for you if you are detail-oriented, take ownership of your work, and are comfortable moving between hands-on accounting and analytical tasks. You should be able to work independently within a defined scope, flag issues proactively, and communicate clearly with both internal team members and clients.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Own the month-end close process for a portfolio of businesses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness every month.
• Oversee and review the work of the bookkeeper, providing guidance and feedback to maintain quality.
• Update and maintain rolling financial forecasts, incorporating updated financials and flagging variances for the CFO team.
• Prepare and maintain budget-to-actual reports, highlighting key variances and providing supporting commentary.
• Track and report on client KPIs, ensuring dashboards and reports are current and accurate.
• Provide financial analysis on client results — identifying trends, anomalies, and areas that warrant attention from the CFO team.
• Collaborate with the CAAS team to ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and supports their advisory work.
• Work alongside the Tax Advisory Services team to ensure financial data is aligned with tax planning needs.
• Communicate with clients as needed to gather information, clarify transactions, and deliver financial reports.
• Use AI tools and automation within company guidelines to streamline accounting workflows, while maintaining rigorous review standards.
• Assist with onboarding new clients — assessing current financials, cleaning up records, and establishing clean, efficient processes.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 4+ years of experience in accounting, with exposure to financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a month-end close process independently and on time across multiple clients.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies or anomalies in financial data.
• Experience supervising or reviewing the work of a bookkeeper or junior accounting staff.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workflow within the priorities set by the CFO team.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills — you can summarize financial results and flag issues concisely.
• Experience with AI tools and automation in an accounting context; comfortable improving efficiency through technology.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe Pro.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to always doing the right thing.
