Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 7:40 AM - 5:00 PM | Friday: 7:40 AM - 12:00 PM

Compensation: $20-$24 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused

Financial Coordinator to join a busy dental practice. This role is responsible for managing patient financial accounts, conducting financial consultations, overseeing accounts receivable, processing payments, and providing exceptional patient service while supporting the overall success of the practice.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Previous experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare office preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic mathematical and financial skills.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Coordination

  • Conduct financial consultations with patients regarding treatment plans and payment options.
  • Explain financing options and ensure patients understand financial responsibilities.
  • Maintain treatment plan accuracy and account balance awareness.
  • Perform benefit verifications and patient account audits.
  • Process and post patient payments, including in-person, phone, and mailed payments.
  • Monitor and manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including aging reports and collections.
  • Post insurance payments and apply appropriate write-offs.
  • Generate patient statements and follow up on delinquent accounts.

Front Office Operations

  • Greet and assist patients with professionalism and excellent customer service.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and manage messages.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently.
  • Prepare and verify patient documentation and required forms.
  • Coordinate specialist referrals and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Support same-day treatment scheduling whenever possible.

Administrative & Office Support

  • Complete opening and closing office procedures.
  • Participate in daily huddles and team meetings.
  • Assist with end-of-day financial reconciliation, including:
    • Production and collections reconciliation
    • Credit card settlement
    • Bank deposit preparation
  • Support clinical and administrative teams as needed.
  • Assist with patient recall and re-care outreach during downtime.
  • Recommend workflow improvements to enhance office efficiency.

  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
