Data Analyst

About The Role

The role serves as the analytical engine driving business decisions across product, marketing, and operations. This position sits at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, translating raw transactional and behavioral data into actionable insights.

The analyst will collaborate closely with data engineering to structure analytics-ready tables and partner with business leads to define core metrics, build automated dashboards, and design rigorous experiment frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze multi-million row datasets from modern cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
• Design, build, and maintain production-grade dashboards in Tableau, Looker, or Power BI that serve as the single source of truth for executive stakeholders
• Perform deep-dive exploratory data analyses to identify product friction points, customer churn indicators, and growth opportunities
• Design and analyze A/B tests, defining sample size requirements, tracking performance metrics, and presenting statistical significance results to product teams
• Build and schedule reliable data transformation models using dbt (data build tool) to streamline the core analytics reporting layer
• Partner with data engineering to identify instrumentation gaps and ensure proper event tracking across web and mobile applications

What We Are Looking For

• 1–3 years of professional experience as a data analyst, business analyst, or in a highly quantitative analytical role
• Advanced SQL skills, including expert-level knowledge of window functions, complex joins, query optimization, and CTEs
• Hands-on experience building structured dashboards and data visualizations in Looker (LookML) or Tableau
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts, including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and A/B test design
• Strong communication skills with a proven track record of translating complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations
• Bonus: Experience writing Python or R for exploratory data analysis, or hands-on experience writing dbt models in a production environment
