JOB SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the position is to maintain excellent customer service, to ensure guest satisfaction and a future return. As front-line employees, the Host/Cashier is the first impressions. They are expected to provide prompt, courteous, friendly and professional service to all guests at all times. They are responsible for maintaining superior quality service for guests. Performing their jobs on a daily basis, they are required to be detailed in every aspect of their work while maintaining an efficient pace. Also must be able to help guest with completing payments and other POS transactions.
HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Caesars New Orleans
- Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for guests, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team.
- Anticipates guests and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
- Engage with and understand our guests, including discovering and responding to guest needs through clear and pleasant communication
- Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create a successful environment during each shift.
- Assists with new team member training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
- Delivers extraordinary services to all guests by connecting with the guest and saying “thank you” to every guest.
- Discovers and responds to guest needs.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace to efficiently locate resources and products as needed.
- Provides quality beverages and food products consistently for all guests by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines
- Follows cash handling and register policies
- Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.
- Maintains merchandise on display neatly and in proper area.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience working in gift shop and coffee shop establishment preferred
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Must present a well-groomed appearance
- Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification in English
- Must have a pleasant, poised personality.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino and hotel.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
- Must have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine, and photocopier.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
