IT Project Manager

Akkodis is seeking an IT Project Manager role is a Contract with a client located in Rochester NY 14623 (Hybrid). Ideally looking for applicants to have a solid background in Strong Leadership, Jira or Azure DevOps, Agile-Waterfall, would come as a big plus.

Pay Range: $42-$45/hr. The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage complex software development projects in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop project plans, timelines, risk mitigation strategies, and status reports for executive leadership.
• Drive project delivery while managing scope, budget, schedules, and quality.
• Facilitate customer onboarding, API support, production issue resolution, and operational readiness.
• Work closely with business leaders, software engineers, QA teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Monitor project performance and continuously improve delivery processes.
• Utilize project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps to track progress and team productivity.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

10+ years of IT Project Management experience within software development environments

Strong experience leading enterprise software projects

Hands-on experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Expertise with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile project management tools

Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills

Experience managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and executive reporting

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree

Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
