Senior E-commerce Product Manager | Shopify & Social Commerce
Kpop Exchange
Full-time, W-2 | $70,000–$100,000
Remote-first | Denver metro strongly preferred
About Kpop Exchange
Kpop Exchange began as a pandemic side hustle and has grown into one of the fastest-growing specialty K-pop retailers in the United States. The business has more than doubled in recent years and is entering its next stage of growth.
We serve fans worldwide through our e-commerce site, TikTok Shop, and retail store in Aurora, Colorado. TikTok Shop is our flagship store, and we already operate an active social-commerce business through live shopping and shoppable content.
Kpop Exchange is a one-stop specialty retailer for K-pop fans and collectors, with thousands of fast-moving SKUs across albums, merchandise, photocards, limited releases, and collectibles. This is not a simple single-brand DTC catalog. Product details, versions, scarcity, fandom behavior, consumer psychology, and rapidly changing trends all matter.
We are now building the leadership team and operating systems required for the next stage of the company.
This is not a role where you inherit a finished department. It is an opportunity to build one.
About the Role
We are hiring a hands-on e-commerce leader to own the product and catalog function across Shopify, TikTok Shop, and our broader social-commerce operation.
You will oversee products from initial announcement through preorder launch, pricing, catalog management, inventory updates, arrival, and transition to in-stock. You will coordinate across marketing, warehouse, retail, design, customer support, and remote support teams to ensure launches are accurate and on time.
Your first priority will be to stabilize the function by improving launch execution, documenting core processes, strengthening inventory controls, and creating clearer ownership.
From there, you will build the systems and team needed to support significantly greater volume. This role will begin as a highly hands-on position, with the expectation that you will eventually identify, hire, train, and manage specialists underneath you.
Strong performance may create a path into broader director-level e-commerce ownership as the company grows.
This position reports directly to the Founder.
What You’ll Own Product Launches and Catalog
- Own product launches from announcement through preorder, arrival, and transition to in-stock
- Create and maintain accurate listings across Shopify and TikTok Shop
- Manage titles, descriptions, images, variants, collections, tags, pricing, and SEO
- Keep product information current as supplier details, pricing, benefits, and availability change
- Use project-management software to organize multiple launches and priorities at once
Shopify and Website Management
- Own Shopify catalog quality, merchandising, themes, navigation, SEO, and conversion improvements
- Perform bulk catalog updates using CSVs
- Improve product-page quality and customer experience
- Identify and prioritize larger website improvements as the function stabilizes
Social Commerce and Cross-Functional Coordination
- Own TikTok Shop operations and help strengthen and scale our existing social-commerce business
- Coordinate across marketing, warehouse, retail, design, customer support, and remote support teams
- Ensure teams have accurate information, clear priorities, and timely updates
- Support future expansion into additional marketplaces and social-commerce channels, including Whatnot, once the core operation is stable
Systems, Documentation, and Inventory Controls
- Build SOPs, documentation, checklists, and repeatable workflows from scratch
- Standardize launch, pricing, catalog, inventory-transfer, and quality-control processes
- Improve inventory accuracy, reconciliation, and controls for complex, high-value products, including photocards
- Use tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to improve documentation, workflows, and operational efficiency
Data-Informed Product Decisions
- Use historical sales, customer engagement, margin, and demand signals to improve product and launch decisions
- Help create repeatable criteria for determining which products and releases are worth carrying
- Stay close to customer behavior, fandom trends, and emerging demand
- Review performance and continuously improve the decision process
Building the Function
- Begin hands-on and stabilize the current operation
- Identify where additional specialists are needed as volume grows
- Lead future hiring, onboarding, training, delegation, and performance management
- Build a scalable e-commerce team while retaining ownership of the function and its outcomes
A Complex Product and Inventory Environment
Kpop Exchange operates its own warehouse and does not use a traditional 3PL.
Our catalog is fast-moving, collectibles-driven, and operationally complex. We manage albums, member versions, pre-order benefits, individual trading cards, and limited edition imported merch.
The person in this role must understand that small differences in version, condition, exclusivity, rarity, or inclusion can materially change customer demand and product value.
What Success Looks Like
- Product launches happen quickly, accurately, and consistently
- Shopify and TikTok Shop remain organized, current, and easy to maintain
- Core processes are clearly documented and repeatable
- Inventory controls and reconciliation improve
- Product and launch decisions become more consistent and data-informed
- The ecommerce function can support significantly more volume without becoming chaotic
- A capable team is eventually built underneath this role
Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of hands-on ecommerce ownership experience
- Advanced Shopify experience beyond basic product-page creation
- Experience managing a large, complex, or fast-moving physical-product catalog
- Strong project-management and cross-functional coordination skills
- Experience building SOPs, documentation, and operational processes from scratch
- Ability to bring structure to a messy or rapidly changing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and train junior team members
- Experience using ecommerce data to guide merchandising, assortment, inventory, or launch decisions
- Strong understanding of consumer psychology and buying behavior in collectibles, fandom, social commerce, or other scarcity-driven categories
Preferred
- TikTok Shop or other marketplace experience
- Shopify theme, SEO, merchandising, or conversion-rate optimization experience
- Inventory reconciliation or high-value collectible inventory experience
- Experience hiring and managing ecommerce specialists
- Experience with trading cards, sneakers, vinyl, comics, gaming, beauty drops, hobby retail, music merchandise, or K-pop
- Academic or professional background in psychology, behavioral science, consumer behavior, or merchandising
- Whatnot or live-commerce experience
Schedule
This role requires reliable coverage during Korean product announcement windows, including Sunday evenings and select weekday evenings.
Hours are flexible and designed around launch needs rather than a traditional 9–5 schedule. A few major events each year may also require limited weekend participation.
Location
This is a remote-first role, with Denver-area candidates strongly preferred.
Local employees will visit the Denver warehouse during onboarding and periodically for major projects, launches, and events. Non-local employees may occasionally travel to Denver, with company-paid travel, when in-person collaboration would materially support the role.
Depending on the person’s strengths and future responsibilities, there may also be opportunities to attend industry events or travel on behalf of Kpop Exchange.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $70,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience, location, and scope.
Full-time W-2 employment is available in approved U.S. states.
We intend to offer benefits administered through Gusto, with final plan details confirmed at the offer stage.

Senior Ecommerce Product Manager — [Your Full Name]
You may use Loom, an unlisted YouTube video, Google Drive, or another accessible video link.
In your video, briefly introduce yourself and answer:
1. Walk us through the most complex ecommerce operation or catalog you have personally managed.
What made it complex, what did you personally own?
2. How do you keep product information, pricing, and inventory accurate across multiple sales channels?
Please explain the systems, processes, or controls you have used?
3. Teach us one e-commerce concept you know especially well.
Choose something relevant to this role, such as product pages, catalog structure, launches, merchandising, inventory accuracy, SEO, or CRO, and explain it as though you were training a junior team member.
4. Kpop Exchange operates in a fandom and collectibles driven category where versions, rarity, condition, exclusivity, and limited availability can significantly affect demand and value.
What draws you to this kind of business? Tell us about any collectible, fandom, music, hobby, or scarcity-driven category you understand or participate in, and how that should influence product selection, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
Clear, specific explanations matter more than production quality. Please focus on what you personally owned, implemented, or improved.
Applications submitted without the required video will not move forward.
