About the Role
HBA is looking for a Project Manager to lead private commercial concrete construction projects out of our Anaheim, CA office. This role owns full project delivery, from preconstruction through closeout, and is responsible for schedule, budget, quality, and client relationships on every job. You'll manage a team that may include Assistant Project Managers and project engineers and serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, owners, and trade partners.
What You'll Do
• Own overall project delivery for private commercial concrete projects, from award through closeout
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, change orders, and billing to protect and improve project margins
• Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating concrete scopes with general contractors and other trades
• Serve as the primary client-facing contact, building and maintaining strong relationships with GCs, owners, and design teams
• Lead procurement and negotiation with subcontractors, ready-mix suppliers, and material vendors
• Review submittals, RFIs, and drawings for accuracy, constructability, and scope compliance
• Oversee project safety, quality control, and inspection processes in coordination with field superintendents
• Lead project meetings and provide regular status reporting to company leadership and clients
• Manage project closeout, including final documentation, billing, and lessons learned
What We're Looking For
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial concrete or structural construction
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven track record managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships from start to finish
• Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, means, and industry standard practices
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
