Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management.
  • Experience in User Experience (UX) and developing consumer products.
  • Experience developing consumer software and hardware products.
  • Experience leading cross-functional collaboration and managing product decisions.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience inventing innovative and user-friendly products.
  • Experience with health/customer support systems and large language model (LLM) chatbot agents.
  • Experience creating product requirement documents (PRDs).
  • Experience working in the Product Management job family.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The customer support experience is key to users perception of products, their trust in the brand, and their loyalty to the product. We aim to provide a comprehensive, seamless customer support experience with Pixel Help, an on-device AI-powered support agent. Additionally, we aim to create a suite of easily accessible on-device diagnostics, troubleshooters, and health signals that provide glanceable reassurance to users. In this role, you will address gaps in our telemetry coverage and partner with cross-functional teams to improve our capabilities while meeting our privacy and policy goals.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $163000 - $237000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for Pixel Help and Device Health, including a suite of intelligent, AI-powered support and user tools for understanding and managing device performance.
  • Set clear priorities and success metrics for improving user trust and satisfaction with Pixel products.
  • Lead the identification and pursuit of innovative solutions across Android, Pixel Software and Hardware, Silicon, Customer Support, and other teams within Google.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build diagnostics, cloud-based support systems, and large language model (LLM) chatbot agents.
  • Develop proactive monitoring for in-field issues and address major telemetry gaps affecting product quality metrics.
