Are you an Accountant with construction industry experience looking to join a growing electrical contractor where your work directly impacts project success? Our client, an electrical contractor is looking for an experienced Accountant with a strong background in c onstruction accounting, job costing, WIP reporting, and Spectrum ERP to join their team!

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in construction accounting.
  • Experience managing multiple active construction projects.
  • Efficient in Spectrum ERP.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain the General Ledger and ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze WIP schedules and revenue recognition.
  • Monitor job costs, project profitability, and budget variances.
  • Oversee retainage, purchase orders, change orders, and construction billing.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and leadership to improve project performance.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis.
  • Assist with audits, sales tax filings, and internal controls.
