Early Childhood Classroom – Substitute Teacher

Primary Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively and maintain a positive rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Supports the teacher in providing an environment that facilitates learning.
• Assists in delivering a Hi Scope curriculum per teacher’s instruction.
• Assists in the supervision of students.
• Maintains a strong code of confidentiality.
• Assists in maintaining the safety and attractive appearance of the classroom, playground, and facility.

The classroom environment should reflect student work, themes, and curricula.

• Arrives to school and duties on time, while demonstrating strong attendance and reliability on the job.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 6-12 Early Childhood Credits, Infant classs preferred
• Experience in an early childhood or preschool setting preferred
• Must be 18 years of age
• Live Scan Fingerprint clearance and background check
• Health Screening
• Proof of immunity to Measles or MMR Vaccination Record (one time)
• Flu Vaccine within one year (and each year thereafter)
• TDAP Vaccine within last 10 years (and every 10 years thereafter)
• Clear TB test or Chest X-ray within last 4 years (and every 4 years thereafter)
