About the Role
The Human Resources Business Partner II serves as a strategic partner to business leaders by supporting workforce planning, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and Human Resources operations. This role collaborates closely with operational leaders and HR teams to implement people strategies, improve employee experiences, strengthen organizational performance, and drive continuous improvement across HR programs and processes.
Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States (Onsite)
Responsibilities
- HR Business Partnership
- Partner with business leaders to align Human Resources strategies with organizational objectives.
- Provide strategic HR guidance to operational leadership teams.
- Support workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to implement people-focused programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and operational effectiveness.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on Human Resources matters.
- Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster positive employee relations through proactive HR support.
- Lead employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Address employee concerns while promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Support conflict resolution and workplace issue management.
- Encourage employee participation in engagement programs.
- Promote organizational values and employee well-being.
- Talent Development & Training
- Support employee training and professional development initiatives.
- Partner with leaders to identify learning and development needs.
- Assist in implementing performance management programs.
- Facilitate training sessions and employee development activities.
- Support leadership development initiatives.
- Promote continuous learning across the organization.
- HR Operations
- Provide day-to-day Human Resources support to managers and employees.
- Assist with employee onboarding, transitions, and workforce changes.
- Maintain HR records and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate Human Resources programs across multiple departments.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and employment regulations.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve HR programs and operational processes.
- Recommend innovative solutions that enhance employee experiences.
- Support implementation of process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with HR reporting and workforce analytics.
- Contribute to organizational change management efforts.
- Promote operational excellence through continuous improvement.
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with remote HR teams and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate across departments to achieve organizational objectives.
- Build strong relationships with managers and employees.
- Support cross-functional HR initiatives and special projects.
- Provide professional guidance on HR best practices.
- Demonstrate leadership through collaboration, accountability, and effective communication.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner or related Human Resources role.
- Some undergraduate-level education.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of employee training methods and development practices.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback professionally.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in contact center or customer service operations.
- Experience in military or government environments.
- SHRM-SCP or equivalent Human Resources certification.
- Experience supporting organizational development and workforce planning initiatives.
