Data Programmer Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The objective of this position is
to successfully engage the Data Processing team and software
applications in order to process inbound customer data files without
errors. The position is also responsible for analyzing workflow,
improvement opportunities, departmental compliance, and data security.
This candidate will lead the technical group in project management,
training, documentation and provide mentoring to team members as needed.
Responsibilities Receive and review inbound work orders from Sales and
Account Management's Midnight software Partner with the team in helping
to schedule work orders with the department Process data files which are
supplied by customers via email, SFTP or other means Trouble shooting
issues which arise when processing customer data - particularly those
which are not routine Establish analytics/key metrics within the
Department which indicate the ongoing successes and opportunities for
cost savings, job quality, processing time and efficiency Interface with
vendors involved in technology implementation or ongoing maintenance in
order to successfully install solutions in the department Regularly
engage in customer meetings/calls in order to clarify data requirements,
timelines, or other items essential to quality processing of client data
into the Production floor To ensure profitability, this position will
also assist with budgeting of data processing time and costs. Upon
observation of data flowing thru the production floor, this individual
may draw patterns from this information in order to help the Production
Floor or our customers to process jobs more efficiently Serve as
specialist on the Mail.dat preparation process Ensure that all data
files and related privacy information from within JLS as well as from
JLS customers and vendors is treated securely as required by SOC II Type
II and HIPAA controls Other duties performed as required by Management
Requirements: Ability to develop a working knowledge of the Mailing
Services production departments and the downstream workflow from Data
Processing Detail oriented, analytical thinking Strong problem
identification and objection resolution ability Customer service
aptitude in difficult customer circumstances (i.e. collections)
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated with high energy and drive to succeed; willing to step
into other roles to learn and advance Ability to embrace change and
learn quickly Ability to understand requirements of mailing from the US
Postal Services Potential growth in people leadership Education and/or
Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work
experience Print and Mail Industry experience is strongly preferred but
Not Required Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills,
including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external
customers Previous computer proficiency in most major Microsoft
applications such as Outlook and the MS Office suite Computer skills, in
particular - Word and Excel, Access also helpful Experience with order
management software and knowledge of data processing applications -
e.g., Racami, Planet Press, BCC - which are core to the processing of
customer data files Must be able to work under pressure and meet
deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary
service to employees and customers Ability to work independently and to
carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions
given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices Minimum 5-7
years of relevant work experience with progressive responsibility
