Role: Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment at a state park complex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on vehicles such as cars, trucks, tractors, and equipment including mowers, backhoes, and trail groomers.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, body repairs, tire changes, wiring repairs, fluid checks, and winterization.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance work and repairs.
  • Assist other parks with vehicle diagnostics and repairs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic training or equivalent experience, including at least two years of journey-level mechanic work, with one year in diesel repair.
  • Active Pennsylvania Class 1, 4, or 7 Inspection Mechanic Certification required on first day.
  • Valid Class C non-commercial Driver's License and PA residency.
