We’re Hiring: Commercial Construction Estimator

Largo, Florida | Full-Time | On-Site

$85,000–$100,000 + Performance Bonus

Crue Demolition & Construction is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to help lead our next chapter.

We’re expanding from a successful restoration and remodeling operation into larger commercial projects—including tenant improvements, institutional renovations, and full-building gut rehabs valued up to $3 million.

This is not a junior estimating position. We need someone who can take full ownership of a commercial bid from invitation through final pricing, including:

• Reviewing plans and specifications
• Performing quantity takeoffs
• Soliciting and leveling subcontractor bids
• Building clear, complete scopes of work
• Analyzing costs, general conditions, contingency, and margins
• Preparing proposals that can hold up in the field
• Handing won projects off cleanly to production

You’ll work directly with the owner, a Florida Certified General Contractor, who reviews and signs every commercial proposal—but you’ll be trusted to build and defend your own numbers.

We’re a small, growing team with modern systems, AI-assisted workflows, and very little corporate red tape. The projects you price will have a direct impact on where this company goes next.

What we’re looking for

5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience with a general contractor

Proven ability to manage bids independently

Strong plan-reading, takeoff, CSI division, buyout, and bid-leveling skills

A track record of projects delivered at or near their estimated margins

Clear, professional scope letters, clarifications, and exclusions

Ability to attend site visits throughout the Tampa Bay area

Experience with Buildertrend, Procore, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Xactimate, institutional renovations, or the Tampa Bay subcontractor market is a plus.

Compensation and benefits

• $85,000–$100,000 base salary, depending on experience
• Performance bonus tied to gross-margin accuracy
• Vehicle or mileage allowance
