The Opportunity

County Human Services’ Business Services Division coordinates and provides all procurement and contracting functions for more than 350 contracts and assures the implementation of, and compliance with, all county, state and federal fiscal policies and procedures related to the business of the Department.

The Contract Technician requests and manages all insurance documents related to contracts, assists in the creation of Purchase Orders, develops new business process documents, assists in creating internal controls, assists staff and suppliers with the MMP supplier portal and maintains a desk manual for the Contract Technician positions. Primary responsibilities include

  • Request and manage insurance certificates

  • Development of a variety of documents including training documents, desk manual, business processes, internal controls in direct relation to the MMP and Workday ERP systems

  • Provides technical and administrative assistance in the research, design, development, implementation, monitoring and documentation of internal processes.

  • Provides technical assistance and support to the Preschool for All Program as required in the development of comprehensive and complete documents. , Assists suppliers with system registration, troubleshoots duplicate supplier records, verifies that all Preschool for All suppliers have active and accurate profiles and are ready for contracting.

  • Generates Purchase Orders in Workday as required by program once contracts are fully executed in MMP.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree

  • Minimum one (1) year of specialized, increasingly responsible clerical experience.

Additional Information

Type of Position: This AFSCME Local 88 union-represented full-time position is eligible for overtime.

Schedule: Core business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Flexible schedule may be available
