Administrative Technician - CHOICES (Aging Commission)

Position Summary
Works under general supervision of Manager A while coordinating assignments as they relate to the successful operation of the Information and Assistance (I&A) program.
Pay Grade: 43
Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
Minimum Qualifications
- Four (4) years of experience in an administrative or clerical health care capacity; and a high school diploma; OR
- Two (2) years of experience in an administrative or clerical health care capacity; and two
- (2) years of college study (60 semester hours or 72 quarter hours);
- PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as point of contact for program partner Managed Care Organizations.
- Prepares reports as they relate to the CHOICES program.
- Contact people referred to the program to obtain the information needed to complete referral for services.
- Verifies potential enrollees through the Tennessee Anytime website.
- Maintains spreadsheets of documented enrollee activity for record keeping purposes.
- Maintains accurate records of applicants who decline services.
- Assists with the keeping minutes of CHOICES regional quarterly meetings.
- Coordinates and distributes referrals to appropriate assessment/service coordination program.
- Files and maintains file cabinets and program materials for future use.
- Retrieves documents and distributes telephone voicemail messages to appropriate staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

- Ability to communicate effectively with the public, co-workers and other departments.
Special Requirements
- Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver's license or secure one upon date of employment.
- Must have daily access to an operable automobile.
- Must meet County requirements for automobile insurance upon date of employment.
- Must pass criminal background check to include: TBI/FBI Criminal, Probation & Parole Registry, Tennessee Abuse Registry, Tennessee Felony Offender Registry and the National and Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry.
